Die meisten Festivals präsentieren, was bereits vollendet ist. Das free flow festival zeigt, was gerade entsteht: Es ist ein Ort, an dem unkonventionelle Musikprojekte ausprobiert und präsentiert werden können, ohne die üblichen Genre- und Formatgrenzen. Nicht das fertige, polierte Werk steht im Zentrum, sondern der lebendige künstlerische Prozess. Übermorgen ist es nun endlich soweit und wir könnnen euch das Ergebnis der intensiven Arbeit der letzten Monate zeigen. Wir freuen uns wahnsinnig darauf, vier Tage lang Musik in unterschiedlichsten Formen mit euch zu feiern.

Das free flow festival 2026 steht für musikalische und kulturelle Erlebnisse, die zusammen mit internationalen Kurator:innen und Musiker:innen exklusiv erarbeitet wurden. Dabei stellten wir uns immer wieder die Fragen: Was bewegt Künstler:innen heute wirklich? Welche Themen wollen sie erforschen, mit wem und in welcher Form? Die Antworten kommen unter anderem aus Lettland, Südafrika, Mexiko und der Schweiz - und sind so unterschiedlich wie die Menschen dahinter.

Der Eintritt ist für alle Veranstaltungen gratis. Bei einzelnen Veranstaltungen ist die Platzzahl begrenzt. Mit deiner Reservation zu den Veranstaltungen hilfst du uns bei der Planung und kannst dir einen fixen Platz sichern:

Dank der Unterstützung von diversen Stiftungen sowie der Stadt und dem Kanton Zürich sind dieses Jahr alle Veranstaltungen kostenlos und bewusst auch für Menschen zugänglich, die sonst nicht den Weg in Konzerthäuser finden. Heute Abend: Surprise Action!
 
Weil wir es kaum erwarten können, mit euch Zürich auf musikalische Art und Weise zu erleben, gibt es heute Abend schon einen Vorgeschmack auf das free flow festival: Wir treffen uns um 18.45 Uhr am Bahnhof Stadelhofen (Brezelkönig) für einen Klangspaziergang mit dem Vokalensemble OTTO und Andres Bosshard. Mitbringen brauchst du nichts ausser dem Wetter angepasste Kleidung und die Lust, Zürich hörend zu entdecken!

Most festival present what is already finished. free flow festival shows what is currently taking shape: it is a place where unconventional music projects can be tried out and presented, free from the usual boundaries of genre and format. The focus is not on the finished, polished work, but on the living artistic process. The day after tomorrow, the time has finally come, and we can show you the result of the intense work of the past months. We are incredibly excited to celebrate four days of music in its most diverse forms with you.

The free flow festival 2026 stands for musical and cultural experiences, developed exclusively together with international curators and musicians. Throughout, we kept asking ourselves: what truly moves artists today? Which themes do they want to explore, with whom, and in what form? The answers come from places such as Latvia, South Africa, Mexico and Switzerland - and are as diverse as the people behind them.

Admission is free for all events. For some events, the number of seats is limited. By reserving your spot for the events, you help us with our planning and can secure yourself a guraranteed place:

Thanks to the support of various foundations as well as the City and Canton of Zürich, all events are free of charge this year and deliberately accessible also to people who don't usually find their way into concert halls. Because we can hardly wait to experience Zurich with you in a musical way, there's already a sneak peek of the free flow festival this evening: we'll meet at 6.45 pm at Stadelhofen station (Brezelkönig) for a sound walk with the vocal ensemble OTTO and Andres Bosshard. You don't need to bring anything except weather-appropriate clothing and the desire to discover Zurich through listening!
