Josephine Baker meets Beyoncé | Kunsthaus Zürich

Ana Đorđević, Valentine Michaud, Lindi Mlaba, Avi Sliman

For the second time, we accepted the Kunsthaus's invitation and put on a performance with dancers Ana Đorđević and Lindi Mlaba and saxophonist Valentine Michaud that blurs genre boundaries. Reminiscences of Josefine Baker mix with movements we know from hip-hop videos; classical ballet and classical music dissolve into jazz – both in the form of dance and music. The result: a performance that leaves us amazed.
